Mental Health Project

A comprehensive report on Asian Americans in Westchester was released on December 13th, 2022, which highlighted significant mental health challenges among Asian American seniors and youth. OCA-WHV invited three psychologists for 12 Mental Health seminars that served teens and families, senior community members in 2023.

The collective efforts of these initiative events reached over 1,000 community members, spanning primary and high school students, parents, caregivers, and senior residents. Notably, participants such as
a 96-year-old senior who refused to let age hinder his attendance and an 83-year-old who navigated multiple buses to join the events underscore the project's profound impact and commitment to inclusivity.

OCA-WHV's Mental Health Project stands as a testament to the organization's dedication to addressing critical community needs and fostering resilience and well-being among AAPI individuals across generations.
