2024 Black History Month/Women's History Month: Film Screening of Origin

To celebrate Black History Month and the beginning of Women's Month, on March 1st, 2024, New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Senator Shelley B. Mayer hosting a film screening of Ava Duvernay's Origin. The film describes the story of Isabel Wilkerson, the author of NY Times Best Seller, Caste, and her process of writing the book which draws powerful parallels between segregation in the South to the Holocaust and the Caste System in India.
