YOCA: Reading Program
Ten high school interns prepared reading sessions for 4-7 years old students, six sessions were offered at the Greenburgh Publich Library. The topics cover AAPI Kids mental challenges on top of diversity & inclusion. Hundreds of students and their caregivers enjoyed the stories and activities. We received very positive respons from the parents and the libary. We are very glad that last year's interns have made remarkable progress in enteracting with young audience (photo album).
The OCA reading room is a fun and interactive program that focuses on diversity and inclusion. Children will learn to embrace their unique identities as well as other cultures and heritages in America through fun book readings and sing-a-longs. We have a separate program for children ages 4 to 6 (photo album).
The first Summer Reading program was held at the India Center of Westchester in 2021.
